without being to tech savy, i would suspect that you have a faulty pi zero. have you tested it by it self, connected to a tv/screen, with a wall socket power supply? i will try the kapton tape solution tomorrow. i already tried with four different sets of buttons and conductive rubber pads no change.. it happens to the START, SELECT, and the d-pad at some angels.. i will post a video tomorrow. i am at work now:) if nothing happens, i would be glad for the softwa...

i have the same problem with my d-pad and start button.. i got the newest version of kites cm3 board. i use buttons and rubber membranes from retromodding. contact pads on the board and rubbber membranes have been cleaned without any improvement. i even used 2 different membranes from a cheap chines...
