No heatsink, no fan, no overclock (not possible afaik with rpi 3)

I am not sure what i'm going to replace the rpi3 with yet, there are a lot of options.

My only real requirements are fast and smooth emulation up to the Snes. I didn't mind how the n64 was a little off, it was still playable.

Thanks for the reply!

Any suggestions on what I should put in place of the rpi3? I'd prefer something I don't have to worry about cooling, smaller would be better, so I can add batteries.

Impressive work on the case. You'd hardly know it was modified!

So I fixed this, I decided up to SNES was all I really cared about having, so I just threw a rpi zero in it. Had to wait on cables and adapters but it's back together and running flawlessly.

I really should open it back up and add some sort of battery. Even a 2500mah one would be sufficient.

Well, that's disappointing. Used for a couple hours and the rpi 3 apparently overheated and fried itself.

I may just go with a rpi zero and forget about trying for n64 or almost perfect snes emulation.
Didn't you get any temperature warning on the pi when you played for 2 hours?
