I have everything working, except for the left inputs (up and down) I moved the wires around and they changed from up down not working to LT and down not working. I can't for the frigging life of me figure out why? I think its some bad wiring but I just can't isolate the issue.

Anyways, anyone wanna buy this thing off me and give it a shot? Lol.

Don't give up! I'm working on a build of my own, and it's great to be able to glean advice and tips from everyone else working on one! It's fun for us all to follow along.

I'm not understanding what's not working? The directional pad, or the joystick is mixed up? Is LT the left tactile switch under the joystick?
I have a funny feeling it's the Wii U ribbon cable that might be screwed up. I ordered another pair on Amazon yesterday so I should have it tomorrow. So the issue seems to be the left inputs ( D pad and left shoulder buttons) When they do work (it seems to go in and out of working when I move the teensy and connector around. Not sure which it is. But the right side input always work. So I think it has to do with the ribbon cable. Or at least I'm hoping it is it.

So basically, I go to set up the buttons. I can get all the buttons except two to work. And I notice the left inputs require some jiggling of the Teensy and connector board. However, there is not issue no matter the position or how much a jiggle with the analogs or the right buttons. So I came to the conclusion that it might be the ribbon cables. I also swapped the connector boards on the right (that work perfectly) with that on the left (which don't work perfectly). And I get the same inconsistent response. So now I just wait and pray it's the ribbon cable.

Sounds like you're on the right debug track to me, keep us up to date!

Might be worth moving this over to your own thread, I'm sure many others would benefit from reading about your progress and hurdles you've overcome.

I think a great use for the TV button is a save state button. Just suggesting.

Does anyone know where I can get the digitizer with frame in Europe? I don't feel like paying $20 shipping for a $7 part.

This is where I got mine. Free shipping. Not sure if that applies to shipping overseas though.

Sadly shipping for that one is $18.95 to Switzerland. The ones I can get with free shipping from aliexpress all are missing the frame. :(

Pretty slick build.. I have been looking to build something like this for awhile and the Wii-U seems to be the perfect case..

Looking over the parts and connections one thing I am not sure about is the DAC connection? I didn't see any parts listed for it. Being a novice at doing this I was wondering if there was a link or something to outline what it was/is.

Just in the process of gathering up all the parts before I make an attempt at the build. Thanks for all the progress posted so far.
