[WIP] Yet Another Raspberry Pi Game Boy Zero type thingie
Re: [WIP] Yet Another Raspberry Pi Game Boy Zero type thingie
Today:
1. Installing the "distributor board" for the common, red, green & blue.
2. Soldering the LED leads to the board
3. Installing the "DMG+I2C" board from Kitsch-Bent
And finally showing off the nice illumination through the silicone buttons, WOOHOO!!! Really happy with the results
ps. two of the LEDs were damaged while being soldered so make sure that you have enough spares if doing this kind of SMD stuff... I got 100pcs strip from the roll they use in the assembly lines...

Re: [WIP] Yet Another Raspberry Pi Game Boy Zero type thingie
FINALLY!
The LCD arrived after three months!!! First one got returned to the sender before it even left China
And now I have the "HD" 640x480 screen installed on the case. Notice how snugly it fits between the case's sides. Not a single mm extra room.
I also drilled (well... manually twisted with a step drill bit until I hit approx. 11-12mm mark) the holes for the 3rd and 4th front face buttons and installed/glued the Sudomod button wells...
So glad to be back in the saddle!

Today I drilled holes for the power indicator leds (a drop of clear clue on the holes should keep it "neat" and "safe"):
Then I installed the charging circuit inside the case and tested the power Everything working on the charging circuit!
