(Solved) iPhone wifi hotspot won't connect to retropie 4.2

My only means of connecting my RP3 with Retropie 4.2 to the web is with an iPhone hotspot. When I try to do this, it recognizes my phone but fails to connect. Does anyone have a suggestion? Hopefully this is a simple fix as I'm new to all of this.

Can you access another wifi for example with a regular home router !?

I don't have any other means of connecting, but have since figured out the problem. Retropie/RP3 didn't like my iPhones name (it had special characters). Changed my phones name to something simple an connected first try.
