Nice! Had the same idea once, but those are horribly overpriced still. 130€ for one and there are nearly no defective ones around.
But you can buy cases and even the screens + touch screen replacements here:

Check ebay for ones with broken screens! They can go for as low as $50. You'd be using a different screen anyway and gutting the internals. :)

Already did, but it seems here in germany they are really seldom :(
Well, when i've finished my two projects, they will be as cheap as 15$, for i will take ages to complete them :D

Ah that stinks. It would make such a good base for a project like that. Plenty of room inside for lots of battery capacity, full-sized pi, etc.
