Is it possible to use a Raspberry Pi zero as a HDMI port for a Gamecube? The console's digital A/V out port seems to have all the connections needed, plus as far as I know, the Gamecube works with a 5v system. I'm a nubby on this and would like some suggestions. Thanks.

Why do you want HDMI out on a gamecube?

There are HDMI adapters for the wii (which is basically the same thing as a gamecube) by the way.

The pi doesn't have video input, only output, so you would be struggling really!

I heard that the HDMI port will improve greatly the image as compared to the regular A/V output. Just a thought. Thank you so much for your replies. They will clarify my understanding of how these things work. Thanks again.

The competitive super smash brothers melee community have a lot of people dedicated to getting the highest possible A/V quality out of their gamecubes, if that is what you're looking for. It mostly hinges on having extremely specific high quality CRTs and hookups but i'm not an expert on that. PM me if you want contacts.
