[POWERBANKS] Charging & battery for GBZ

Post by solder » Sun Oct 16, 2016 11:02 am

Since powerbanks are cheap, compact and have all the needed circuits for charging/protection they seem a good alternative vs the powerboost & lipo battery.

Could you share your experiences incase you used a powerbank in your project.

Like model, capacity, circuit, where to buy, wiring?

I'm currently planning to use an Anker Powercore 10000, just need to make some room to fit it in as it's quite big.
Will update once i'm there.

For now i just ripped it apart ;-)

BEWARE, don't fiddle with powerbanks if you don't know what you are doing.

The problem you're going to encounter trying to use a powerbank is that they're all going to be using a one-off sized LIPO, or 18650 LIONs, neither of which will fit inside a DMG without significant remodel work.
