Have since ordered another off eBay that looks slightly different, so hopefully it will work.

If not, I will have to buy something like this I guess: http://core-electronics.com.au/raspberr ... gonal.html

That board on the left could easily be cut down, or use it in a GBA chassis.

I purchased two screens locally (Perth) both the same model sold by different auto stores.

Not as cheap as ebay. but has a board that can be trimmed slightly to fit gamboy chassis. you can add buttons to adjust rotation and brightness (not available by default. pm me if you want more info). Also runs on 5v.

Repco also sell the same screen, it was on special last week for $50.

Please ignore the shitty desoldering on the pi3, it still needs some cleanup and then a clean.

Ordered on the 28th, arrived on the 7th.

Pretty sure it has the same board as Variant 7 on the wiki, but I didnt have a chance to go over it properly yet. Probably over the weekend.

Did you get free shippig with this? I just went to place an order, the add says free shipping over $30 but in the checkout it says must be over $40.

I did, but i also ordered a couple other things which would have thrown it just over the 40 AUD mark.
When it went to paypal, it was all USD and the total was around the 35USD.

Not sure if there is a 'standard' size for these things, except the exterior case. But yes the board is about 5cm square, I can measure it up properly when i get home if you'd like.

Really hoping my shipment from Core arrives before the weekend, really want to get cracking on this new toy! hahaha :)

Second screen arrived today. I deliberately bought one that didn't have buttons on the back hoping that it would have a small PCB.
Opened the box to find it does have buttons on the back.
Luckily it has a very small PCB with a separate PCB for the buttons (variant 7 I think).
Very happy to be able to finish this soon!
