Display Power/voltage Problem

Hi Guys,

Im new to this board and the modding culture.

My Problem is the following:
I bought a controller board for my display (ltn170x2-l02). It came yesterday and i set everything up for testing. I used a 13 V power cable, but the screen flickers. Weird... Then i testet a 20V power cable and everything works fine.

Do i get something wrong? Because i thought displays run at 12V. Do i damage the display by powering it by 20V?
