Hey guys,

First time posting here - such a great community around this project.

I've just started tinkering with the screen which everyone recommends...All started off well after doing the 5v mod and hooking it up to the Zero all good. A few hours later I noticed some very faint green dots over the bottom quarter of the screen, today after running the screen overnight they have spread to the entire screen!

Is it just a faulty screen or is there something I'm missing? I've resoldered the red/black/white cables and removed the yellow entirely. I get a picture but like I say its covered in single pixel faint green dots!

Any advice appreciated - not off to a good start!

It could be interference from the audio lines, quick test would be disable pwm audio and see if the "sparkles" disappear, it that is the case then perhaps reroute wiring or add shielding to the audio lines

I have the same "issue" with mine BW screen, this happens because of heat.
I assume, that those screens were just not build to run them for a longer time...

It's 100% because of heat.

The HDMI screen is top notch though, a little bit of screen tear but overall perfect:
