True, in that case the SATA would be best .. there aren't enough pins for HDMI etc .. but more than enough for a full SD + USB (or two) and some other GPIOs (like SPI).. There is a micro SATA, will have to see how big they are.. HDMI really should be it's own connector, that's why they have a HDMI standard connector because it is specced to work with that ;) So in that case a SATA connector (the fulll one, with the power + pins) might be something to try (as it has alignment pins)

What about something like this for the PCB inside the Gameboy:

Wont fit. The dimensions of the cartridge inside are WxHxL 53x5x63 mm (length is the maximum space inside the cartridge). The socket of your shown connector has 8,95mm height, the plug 5,04mm. You also need a PCB underneath.
