@wermy
Don't listen to Ganreizu, we need something for screws just like dirtybeagles solution, but maybe with 2 screws and a positioning template to drill the holes on the back of the case.

Also @wermy, would like to make a longer cartridge case that can accommodate the pi0. That would be awesome!

-1!

Ganreizu has been an incredibly valuable member of the forum as well as beagles. Both methods are quite acceptable, and a few users prefer the latch over the screws.

Was just a suggestion... : (

I see a latch as less work for both the creator and the user. With both latch vs screw you have to glue the construct into the case, but with screw you also have to drill ugly holes in the outside of the case. Just my opinion. :/

Seems like everyone is doing it differently.

And that's fine. :)

Personally a solution with no screw holes required sounds more appealing.

Btw, why did you edit your message? I don't like persons who take things too personal..
My guess is he felt like he came across a bit harsh. But saying you don't like people who take things personal sounds a bit... Personal. :)

Anyway, like I said we all do things differently and that's fine! It will be easier to make a one-size-fits-all solution without screw holes, though.

Sorry guys, but I am team screws all the way, latches are fragile and hard to get them at a a perfect fit.
And I don't want the solution to this problem to go in only one direction as both you are doing.
Btw, i do appreciate everyone's contribution to the project.

That's the thing though, there is no "the solution" - everyone is doing what they are happy with and what works for them. :)

Screws are certainly more sturdy. Are most folks doing 1 or 2 screws?

Also, for the situation this is solving for (extra large LCD driver board) how much height is added? I'm wondering if I could make a bracket that has shorter screw posts and some fins on either side that slide down between the board and the case, if that makes sense.
