Re: [For Sale] PRS-Tech Micro SD Cart board with Advanced Filtering
Just finished my build with the PRS Card. Figured I'd chime in just incase someone else runs into this issue.
Like a few have said, the memory card reader was a little bent in on mine. Everything else looked fine. After some careful bending, the card was able to snugly fit in. But was kind of a pain to get enough grip to pull it out, but possible.
After finishing the build, everything had power, but nothing on screen. Took the memory card out of the PRS card, and put directly into the Pi. Booted right up. Used a multimeter to test all my connections, and they tested good.
Then I figured out that the memory card reader on the PRS card is one of those springy ones. Where you have to push it in to get it out. Mine didn't have any spring. I thought it was a push in, pull out kind without the clicky spring. So I pulled the card out just a tiny bit, and the Pi booted right up.
So the problem was that I was pushing the card all the way in, but because the spring has probably been damaged, it wasn't pushing the card back to the spot where it makes contact with the pads.
So if you run into any issues, that may be your problem.

Hey, woodmill
How long did your cart take to arrive? Mine still hasn't arrived and it's been 2 weeks.

I've had it for a while. I think I was in the first batch to be sent.

Bear with me folks. I"m trying to come up with a solution for damaged sd card holders while keeping the shipping costs down. Thanks again for your patience. I will replace damaged carts. The last batches have gone out as non-machinable and surcharges paid for manual sorting. I'm not sure what they are doing to them . They are not supposed to run them through machines.

A solution to your problem
why don't you put a small removable piece of foam in the sd slot so it dosen't collapse
BTW can this work wit the original GBC using ROMs?

All boards now ship with an extremely sturdy laser cut sd card protector. Protects all components on the board.
