If you are using the smaller non-boost charger then I think it will be fine. It might overlap a little bit with the charging board, but that should be ok.TheDeviantZen wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2017 7:16 amHi wermy and Helder,
Can you answer me some questions please?
The dimension of battery are restricted to 34mmx62mmx5mm (1200mah LP-503562 dimensions)?
Cant we use a battery model LP-053759 (37mmx59mmx5mm)? its 3mm wider and 3mm shorter.
Cuz I cant find the model LP-503562 coming from china, and buying them from a european source, it only comes with stupidly expensive shipping method

Ok.. I found one seller on ebay that sells the Varta model LP-503562 1250mah, but he says that the battery has 35mmx62mmx5mm, 1mm wider than the battery that adafruit sells. Bought one anyway
i'll use the micro-lipo

Re: mintyPi 2.0
As I excitedly posted a photo of my boards that came in from Helder I clicked on the #mintyPi hashtag in Instagram and I saw that someone is already looking to cash in on @wermy and @Helder's hard work, not to mention the countless people that write and maintain RetroPie.

I think this was already addressed and approved by Helder on the Discord forums. It is someone he knows.obsidianspider wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2017 12:23 pmAs I excitedly posted a photo of my boards that came in from Helder I clicked on the #mintyPi hashtag in Instagram and I saw that someone is already looking to cash in on @wermy and @Helder's hard work, not to mention the countless people that write and maintain RetroPie.

Re: mintyPi 2.0
Selling hardware is one thing, but not only can you not sell RetroPie due to the myriad licenses that prevent it, but selling something preloaded with ROMs? That's asking for trouble.
Re: mintyPi 2.0
Understood and agreed. Was just making the point that Helder voluntarily gave this person a prototype to do with it what he wanted. Whatever that person does is on him.obsidianspider wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2017 12:36 pmSelling hardware is one thing, but not only can you not sell RetroPie due to the myriad licenses that prevent it, but selling something preloaded with ROMs? Re: mintyPi 2.0
I havent seen where the seller said what games or what OS is being sold. Saying that you're selling games isn't copyright infringement as long as you're selling your IP, not copyrighted IP.
If I were Helder and wermy, I would get a patent on this idea and the custom parts that go into MintyPi. All it takes is one kid in Middle / High school to show one of these off and start a MintyPi craze, like the fidget spinner, yo-yo, etc...
I honestly Helder and wermy have a million dollar idea on their hands if it's properly marketed. I'm just happy to have one for myself and my family before this blows up.
