Did any of you use Flux when assembling the Pi to the controller PCB? and post a picture of the Pi and controller soldered so I can get a good look if there is flux as I suspect this is the issue.

I used flux throughout and chip-quick on the bottom left.

I see flux residue all around the pi GPIO. Get some soft brush like an old tooth brush and soak it in alcohol and clean it off and try to get it in between the pi and pcb.

Might have to use some compressed air to get the alcohol in between the boards then let it dry out and see if it changes anything.

Flux people are using is causing tons of issues because the flux being used REQUIRES you to clean it off with alcohol. Use only No Clean Flux if you use any kind of flux which isn't even needed for this to be honest.

I did this, and I got audio. However, the audio is super crackly. I know the speaker is not blown because the audio is crackly with headphones on. I've tried skipping the headphone jack, by the way.

Thanks in advance.
