You shouldn't worry. Used are 24awg wires and if you look at this chart http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/wire- ... d_419.html you can see that depending on number of cores in wire max current is anything between 1 and 2 amps (it is not single core) :geek:

I may have come a tiny bit ate to the gameboy zero, but that might have worked well for me given everything I've been seeing. When preorders go up I'll be on for 2.

I'm quite excited to hear what your testing yeilds as far as capacity. Not only is the extended play time a plus, but the weight of the battery will help the build feel so much more substantial! Thanks for sharing your hard work with the community~

I'd take one probably. I am thinking about the bigger speaker so now ive got to decide on that or this! They both wouldn't fit would they? even if I destroyed the compartment?

Quick update:
Started some tests yesterday and after few hours figured out had some settings left in from previous charging/discharging so had to run things again.
But it ain't all bad, before I went to bed I've put one discharged pack charging and today when I went to work it was still charging after almost 8 hours and number was looking good - 5000+ mAh  :D Will see final number when I get home, then start discharge test and then I also plan to do 80% charge test - to se how long it takes from empty to 80%.

@xchristheisx depends on how high speaker protrudes. If it isn't higher than those bottom AA battery spacers it could work.

I'm in for 1, possibly 2. The added capacity may make a Pi 3 Gameboy build much more feasible.
