[For Sale] DMG Buttons Shoulder Bracket
Re: [For Sale] DMG Buttons Shoulder Bracket
Wow thanks for all the pros and cons! I'll have to try out the feel of the tactical switches when I get my case. Right now I'm leaning towards the gameboy buttons just because I'm ocd like that.

Got mine, not sure when I'll have time to put them in though. Looks like a much better solution that putting tact switches in screw holes though

Yeah I was never a fan of that. Like I said before, it's a great solution if you are new to electronics and you want something quick and easy. But those things hurt my fingers hahaSumCanadianGuy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2017 5:46 pmGot mine, not sure when I'll have time to put them in though. That being said, I actually prefer my tactile cap version in all honesty. I like the tactile feel of the click, and the caps are slightly larger than the dmg buttons.

Re: [For Sale] DMG Buttons Shoulder Bracket
Will do.
btw, parts look good but you might want to change your thin wall behavior or increase your outline overlap. No damage to the parts, but I just noticed a few gaps. Just me being picky lol

Re: [For Sale] DMG Buttons Shoulder Bracket
Yeah I've played with them like crazy, you should see the practice pile haha some of them may have come out a little better than others, but the small size really doesn't help. There are a lot of really small geometries where the wells are, as the lips are really thin. And it just won't got some spots, even when throwing settings to the extremes. As for the center part, it's built over a support. When the parts build on top of a support, the outside walls drift a bit, usually needs a few layer for it to self correct. and while each layer is 100% fill, the piece isn't tall enough (not enough layers) to give it enough time to fully self correct. Unfortunately I wish I could do a lot of the parts differently to allow it to look better but I'm stuck with very specific geometries since it's such a tight space. If I raise the piece any higher, the pads get moved up and the response of the buttons gets instantly worse. I actually need to move it downwards for a better feel, but then I run into part being too fragile issue, and not having enough layers to self correct those outlines. A lot of this bracket has been just choosing the lesser of 2 evils hahaSumCanadianGuy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2017 7:14 amWill do.

Re: [For Sale] DMG Buttons Shoulder Bracket
I have had some look with pushing the extrusion up a bit though and just allowing more plastic to spill in and cover up some of the gaps
