Have you actually seen it working?
Get a small cheep LCD in your project https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2312
Wrap it all round a battery https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2292
Or use a custom PCB to make it really small https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2512
or make it really really really really tiny!! https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2919

impressive!!! maybe there is some form of HDMI splitter in there, so the screen and the tv both get the same signal?

maybe he has hand wired the hdmi from the pi to the screen, then the screen socket also becomes the connector?

Looks like hes using a hdmi display and adding a hdmi splitter to be able to connect to the screen and also be able to connect to the tv .. i was working on something similar where i used a hdmi screen for a gbz build .. i soldered my own hdmi wires since i found it hard to find a small and thin enough hdmi cable .. i was working on making a hdmi cable that would allow me to connect the rpi0 to the screen while also having another female hdmi port available to plug into the tv
