it is really necessary to remove the regulator of the PCB from the screen as shown in the wermy video, because in the screen variants modifications only solder the cable jumper on the pin without removing the regulator.

I haven't Modded this screen before but with other variants you could use a jumper wire /or remove the chip.
The models I Modded I was told it would improve the quality a bit by removing it but never noticed a massive difference.

Hi Lpoolm

I have the same opinion I do not see a big different with or without the regulator or the jump cable.

i was under the impression that it might overheat something on the PCB or something similar if the modification wasn't done.

I just got a new screen and this one works better without any mods.
