i've been a bit reluctant to share the stl file....

not because i dont want to share, but my 3d designs skills are very poor (i had never done any design or 3d printing until i started this project)

its a very basic design, easy for me to do (or as much as i could handle at the time).... a box on a cylinder with a hole going down the middle

NB: any printed part will not be plug and play.... so modification will need to be done, based on the length of the tactile button used

If you allow me, I will make some mods to your file to perfectly fit 6x6x9mm momentary switches and also give a try to mod the stl for fitting the adafruit 12x12 pushbutton with round cap.
I would love having big buttons on the back

your more than welcomed to do what you want with the stl file.....

your best option would be to start a fresh design for the 12x12 tactile button.... as the design i did incorporates the part of the shell the screws go through, that part of the shell would have to be dremeled/drilled out to accomodate the 12x12...



there is also a great solution if you want larger buttons on the back...

Now dont get mad but i am really wondering how you mounted it together, it says no hot glue.
So did you use regular glue, or did you click it in there or.. ? i think there's no way to escape some sort of glueing right.
Just wondering.. i like this build and i really mean it believe it or not.

I notice that to you controller pcb you only had data going to the pi not power. I am working on a GBZ, and it has a lot of extra boards inside (I wanted a keyboard chip inside and I am hooking up the controller with a Arduino). I was wondering if i could just hook up data pins to the pi and power to my main power strip board? Would this work of would it screw up the pi, since it is sharing not ground with the hub.
