A few months ago I designed a holder for my future YaGz. I found only ugly and bulky things in Thingiverse and co. This weekend I printed the holder. Looks very good.

The holder will be painted sometime still colorful.

No Problem. It's a little bit tricky to get the support material out of the chars.

I’m not sure my 3D hub will deal with this print, seems a bit hard to print...

I forgot to post pictures. It is the situation as it can be seen above in the holder.

I have desoldered GPIO 24 and 25 and connected two switches. The third switch goes to A0 of the 32U4 MCU (for all buttons the internal pullups are used). I don't know exactly what I want to do with it yet. The middle button now starts music for a test.

The glued screen bracket made of several parts works great. But I need brass inserts, the screws are ripped out. HoolyHoo is right. (Now taped as seen above.)

I want to install a main switch on the lower side. I'm still searching. The problem is the high current, the base size is max10x10mm.

At the top of the board, a new JST socket for the battery is soldered in. So I can just easy disconnect the battery.

Todo:
- Brass inserts and M2 screws for the screen bracket.
- Add a DC-Jack like YaYa, place mode-button between DC-Jack and upper power-button.
- Add a wheel-poti for display brightness.
- Main switch, if I find one.
- Close the case YaGz

Result after 14 hours FinalFantasy VI: FAAAANTAAAAASTIC!

looks real nice and clean. My once concern is battery life. With the shoulder buttons like that it looks like you could be sacrificing battery size or having to put the battery in an odd place.

Also I am going to use that dummy board STL file to help with my designs.

You are right, but the battery life is (for me) enough for a pi0. It is possible to put a second battery in the cartridge slot.

Have fun with your dummy board. :D

Friday I got the screws. I had planned too short. I installed a voltage regulator behind the DC-Jack. I can charge the YaGz with 9-32V.

My YaGz is ready.
