Balls...stripped the pad on my screen driver...

Post by Richb77 » Wed Aug 23, 2017 11:58 am

Can anyone help show me what the pin I have to solder the 5V to is connected to (what track) so I can remove some solder resist and patch onto it?

I have the type 9 driver board.

I de-soldered all the pins lovely but had trouble with one pad...struggled and stripped the damn pad. Sod's law meant it was the pin/pad I need for the 5V!

Thanks for any help.

OK. I examined my board under a microscope (Bless the workshop at work). There is a large width track that was under the removed IC. That is directly connected to the pad that needs the 5v connection. So i have scraped a little solder resist off and Roberts your mothers brother!
