That looks spot on! It should look like this:
https://github.com/geebles/Super-AIO/bl ... COLOUR.png

I'm going to update the tester next week to show some more images.. for example I can do it so that it will tell you EXACTLY which GPIO pin isn't soldered :) how neat would that be!

On the current colour image, what you really should be looking at are the TOP 3 colour bars (the red, green, and blue). If any don't look like a smooth colour transition, that will be the colour (and therefore GPIO) that is problematic! I'll show the mapping of them when I make the tester a bit better :)

Such as the whites being a blue tint and the raspberry on the boot screen, is kinda purple, but if that was the case, wouldnt all reds be like that? On the retropie menu, reds are red. Can someone tell me which one it is?
You are missing a number of GPIO pins soldered correctly, please flash the 'tester' image and boot that.. one of the tests shows a colourful screen! Can you take a picture of that and post here and I'll tell you which is soldered badly?
meldaryste wrote:When I have the screen connected I get a gray screen as well and no sound coming through. I can see the pi itself power light it coming on, but there is a pi status light on the board that is not lighting up. I've triple checked the ribbon cable being all the way seated. Any suggestions?
From the Pics it looks like your USB pads aren't connected properly, re-do those.

If the Pi's SD activity light isn't lighting up (it's an LED ON the pi itself) then you haven't soldered the SD pins properly. Solder those again and try again. Also solder the red highlighted pins a few posts ago as those will get the screen working.

Send me a PM in 3-5 days with this same question and I'll see what I can do then :)

@RhinoNigel:

Got the same problem before. You have to check your solder point from the Pi to the SAIO. Maybe kite know which GPIO it is. I resoldered every one.

Yeah i think it's supposed to look a certain way. This screen tells you what pin isn't correct

So frustrating! Had that off color so I resoldered everything. Now it cycles through different colors. Do you @kite know what pin is wrong?

Here are what pins mean what colour

Image

It looks like you have most problems with RED (going by the 3 colour bars) and also one of the GREEN and one of the BLUE pins..

If you give me a few days I can update the tester image so that IT tells you the precise pin that is problematic :) just hang on and I'll make this easier for you!

Hi Kite,

Hope you can help me with a problem I'm having. I have everything connect up and working exept the lipo battery isnt working.

What I have already tried:
On the back of the board I have solderd the jumpers to 3.3v and tripple checked them. I have also tested 2 different lipo's both of them are not working.

When I plug in a micro-usb the Gameboy boots and everything works fine. Mabey I have missed somthing? Hope to hear from you.
Tim.

Can you post a picture of your battery connector (on the battery)? Could you also send an infocus close up (as much as you can) with good lighting (so it's not just black) of the area around the charging LEDs (the 4x LEDs) with it off.. I'm interested in the area slightly to the RIGHT of those LEDs :) I hope that makes sense

I uploaded the images to my dropbox. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/fnpcd2afiwc6 ... xx-Ga?dl=0

When I plug in the battery no lights come on. Only when I plug in the power cable.

Pics are good but what about the actual white connector of the batt?
