hmm no idea I'm not using recalbox. I used retropie and it worked out of the box.... the best way to test display is from wel known working source. If you have one you can test. The display won't work without signal.

ok, now install retropie on another sd and test it.

i had set all lcd settiongs now. this pcb is too big for gameboy's shell, so i cut it

Hi all. Thought I'd share the below as though I've flipped through most of this site, I haven't seen a board like the one I just found! (With the "hole" in the middle) To give a bit of background, I've probably had this screen for about 5 years. It was actually believe it or not, bought to be used as a reversing camera screen! Crazy huh? Anyway, possibly because it's quite old, it doesn't have any buttons for adjusting the brightness or anything. I hooked it up to 5v and just got a wavy pattern, but I immediately noticed 4 pads on the right hand side of the board that said VID, 5V, GND, and DC out. So I left the ground where it was and put the positive wire to the 5V pad, and it came right on!

Unfortunately, the board is too big to use in a gameboy, so I'm making other plans for it...
