Gbz all in one V2.2 now working !

Post by Cellsenshi » Sun Jan 15, 2017 12:12 pm

Hi !

I've wired my project just like the picture above (I own the same products with gbz all in one v2.2), but I'm unable to make the gbz board works.
Must I enable the Gpio on recalbox.conf ?
Did I missed something to make it works ? I wasn't able to find à solution...
Many thanks !!

I've used the board with RetroPie and not RecallBox but it should work the same, show us your wiring (meaning take pictures) and also there is a support thread for these questions in my signature so post there as there are many fixes posted there.

Thanks Helder !

Here are some pictures of the wiring.
Of course no sound, no working button or direction. I did not activate GPIO, do you think I should ?
Thanks for your help ! :)

Here is a part of my Recalbox.conf where it's possible to enable/desable controllers.
Do you think I should modifiy a line ?
Maybe I'm searching in a wrong place...

Sorry for my bad english, but I feel a little bit confused. :)

It's one of those but not sure which one applies to my board, maybe the GPIO controller needs to be set to 1. Also be sure those p22 and p23 are not touching.

P22 and P23 are not touching, I've just come to check it's OK. ;)
I've tryied to set GPIO to 1 but nothing happened...

I also tried to plug my Xbox360 controller to the pi but it does not work. It used to work when there was nothing solder on the usb port.
For information, I did not succeed to use a USB Hub on my Pi Zero before... :?

Well it's 11:30 PM here in France, I'm going to bed ! Will try tomorrow again. ;)

Bonjour,

Try another strong 5v supply, check your powerboost. (try use the powerboost alone on the board) give the pi zero another adapter.
Without proper 5v the board will not work correct.
When you have it working, shield the wires.
I've had trouble using just wires, you can use the shielding from inside a usb cable or just cut a usb cable and don't peel the wires out.

Well I also thought it might be due to a low amperage of the power supply, I'll try with a stronger one this evening (Do you think 2A will be enough ?)

Merci pour ton aide (Thanks for your help) ! ;)

I've try with a 2A power supply, same trouble...

I'll use a new SD card on Wednesday, I think mine is a little bit tired.
I also bought a USB Hub specialy made for Pi Zero (3 USB ports and RJ45), I expect to receive it within 2 days.
I'll try again when I get It. :)
