Ok so I can have 4 out of 5 wires to the volume pot shielded as I'm making use of some usb cables. I just wondered if you had to choose, which of the 5 wires would you leave unshielded?

Update:
In the end the cables were going to be that short that I just used normal wires. It wasn't really practical using shielding for that length of cable
