Screen help

Post by L51 » Sat Mar 25, 2017 1:11 am

Ok guys. So ive got the screen wired in and working.. to ane xtent. Its the gearbest screen from the wiki page same as sydsilvers. I used the sexont method for 5v convertion by joining 2 of the pins instead of jumping a cable. My problem is the screen didnt come with dimmers and all that fancy jazz and the screen qualoty is junk. Is there a way to tweak settings or configure screen of something?

All fonts that are reasonably small are blurry and i cant read them

Yeah the font size sucks and will be blurry, but you can change that though. You can change the theme to make text size easier to read. This is what I use, it's optimized for 3.5" screen and looks good:

If you search Google you can find a guide how to make the font bigger in the command prompt as well:

Also, I noticed on my build with the same screen that I got a slightly better picture when I wired the ground from the screen to the ground pin on the pi beside the tv pin instead of the ground on the power strip.
