Are you sure your screen is working...

Maybe also retry another fresh install

Screen works perfect it works with my other sd cards just doesn't work with retro

you can either ssh into it and change the config from there...

or i put the sd card into my pc and use notepad++ to open and edit the config file

uncheck, means to delete/remove the # from the line

ok so ive unchecked even copied raspi-config my working image onto a note pad to see if its similar and still not working.

Thank you for everyone that helped I found a config.txt script that I copied and it worked perfect thanks again for the help
