Have since spoken to a few of you via PM and it would appear that this should work by default but that it's not always the case.

For each of my builds, if un-hash:

hdmi_force_hotplug=1 it works perfectly via HDMI however you of course lose the GBZ screen.

What's everyone else's success been like?

im not sure if it can be done while running. The pi will basically try HDMI on boot, then if that is not detected, it will switch to composite. That is why you loose your screen when you uncomment the hotplug line, that essentially stops it switching over to composite and leaves the HDMI on all the time.

The easiest option is to reboot the pi when you want to use HDMI, as long as it is booted with the cable in, it will all just work, then take the cable out and reboot, and your back on the tft

if you connect it to the TV via HDMI before you switch it on, then it will boot with HDMI active. If there is no HDMI there ar boot, it will switch over to composite

I know normally it's like that with my other Sd cards but for some reason this isn't switching over I was wondering if you knew how to manually get it auto switch rather than force HDMI only ?

Hmmmm, have you made any changes in your config.Txt? Some resolutions don't work with HDMI

Do you know what line would have to be changed ?
