Looking good! I like how you put in some strain relief by threading the wires through the PCB.

Yes, i was lucky the wires were that small and fit through

I can see we have a different PCB and this one you have seems easier to cut as it has ample clearance between the circuits. Were you able to still make the controller work via USB?

Yes, time consuming but you can practice soldering and such.

Ha. At least it is an easy fix anyway. Better caught now than when you want to be putting things together. The breadboard is a good idea though to stay organized. Good thinking.

When bleaching the case, can one just "paint" over the blue Nintendo logo?

Yeah, you are right But it is only for practice, since I ordered PCBs anyway.

I did just cover the whole case with it and the logo is still intact. So yeah, you should be good to go.

It is indeed a huge difference for the better. But, as i said, the sad part is, it does not work with 5v and i do not dare solder onto this board, since everything is so tiny densely packed and most of the ICs are covered. Well, ahve to go with a voltage converter then, i am afraid.
