My GBZ v2 [DRAFT]

Post by SidSilver » Tue Sep 20, 2016 1:22 am

Hello !

I've not yet finished my GBZ v1 that I already think of the next one !
From my own experience, from reading this forum and also from talking on discord, some ideas had come to me for a v2.

This is a draft and thinkings for the moment.
It is also a notepad for me to not forget things, so I'll often update this post.

What I want to have :

I like the L/R Button switches you have found. But they seem to be a little too expensive. Is this the only online-shop where you have found these switches?

For the moment, yes, but it's $14 for 200 => 7cts per button.
I hope I'll find the same with a smaller lot

Do you know a Users-Build here who has already used this kind of L/R Button Switches? I would like to get some inspiration/advice on how to integrate them to the case with all the rubber pads and PCBs.
First i wanted to use the SNES L/R Button method from chiz' build, but then it wouldn't be possible to use the cartridge as sd-adapter anymore. Also i think the original tactile switches from wermys mod are a little bit too small for my taste. Your buttons seem to be like a good compromise to be big enough and still be able to use a sd-modded game cartridge.
