The micro usb is my charging port I did it so when charging and playing on the GBZ the cable is at the top out the way.

The board in Side is from banggood site and the other board is an old game I cut up.im using it to power the cartridge slot.
So I'll conect my +v -v +b -b to the cartridge slot.

Another good thing is when I remove the game out it will disconnect everything so I leave it safe. Lol

Cool! Thanks for the info!

Would the cartridge be big enough to store a battery/charger inside? It would be cool if you could have batteries that are swappable cartridges. You could charge via usb even when outside of the gameboy and have multiple batteries in that case.

You can get a lipo battery that is the size of the game case and I've seen it done but you would need to put the charging pcb in Side the gameboy. Unless you get a small lipo battery normally has less mah for the size.
But will be good to look into

yeah. i wonder if a small lipo+power boost would fit inside a cartridge and last a decent amount of time powering the gameboy.

All done and works really well.
I'm not sure about the back of the case if I like it or not but if I want to change it i can do it easy as i have screw terminals in the battery compartment and the only thing that is attached to the back is the buttons. Plus the buttons look good but it feels loose.

Very cool build.

Love the idea of having the power management in the cartridge...
