Another Metroid 2 Remake (AM2R)
Ran into this awesome project earlier today and have started to play it, very well done and thought I'd share it with everyone.

Don't contact me about obtaining my board files (as you will not get them). If my Boards or PCB Kits are sold out, they will be restocked as soon as I can get them and there is demand for them. You can join the mailing list on my Website to be notified when they are available.

Awesome! Would be even cooler if it were open source and we could get it going on a pi.
Re: Another Metroid 2 Remake (AM2R)
Nice find! Metroid II was easily my favorite game growing up. I am slowly working through Zero Mission now on my GBZ, after that will be Super Metroid
Side note: I love these community based refreshes of new games. Earlier this year I played through X-Wing Alliance on PC with community based re-texturization of all of the star ships.

It's a Windows game but plays rather well and I've played a few hours into it. Anyone looking for some cheats I have made a cheat Engine Table I can share.

bumping this thread with a gentle pointer towards the Reddit thread about an unofficial Linux release. maybe someone smarter than me can use that to implement am2r in retropie.

I don't mean to bunk this unnecessarily but did anyone make any headway on this? Doing my own research I see that the hold up was getting it compiled for arm architecture...

Yeah, the releases I'm seeing for linux are pre-compiled for x86. As far as I can tell the source code hasn't been released, so there really isn't any way to compile for ARM. :\atamagaokashii wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2017 1:16 pmI don't mean to bunk this unnecessarily but did anyone make any headway on this? Edit: Well, just kidding: https://gitlab.com/yellowafterlife/AM2Rrc
It's not the original source code, but looks like it might work? But they mention that it's a GameMaker Studio project, which I have no idea if it's possible to export/compile for ARM/Raspian.
