The Teensy only works if I wire it to port 1, and port 2 only gets power enough for a usb stick (wich i already used to put games inside the system)

Change your config.txt and set the usb speed at 1. standard usb 2.0+ hubs are notorious for the things you have.

:( didnt work... the only thing that it works is the USB number 3, teensy is still working good but the port number 4 doesnt seem to want to work at all...

I wrote the line you told me

max_usb_current=1 just like that at the end of the config.txt (Didnt work)

then I wrote it with a "#" at the begening #max_usb_current=1 (didnt work as well)

then I wrote it like this

# Set usb speed
max_usb_current=1

none of the tries seemd to work... the only thing I can plug in the port is a usb stick to transfer roms and wireless keyboard XD... without the second usb i can not connect to wifi and so i could not change themes, add bios... etc etc etc...

 so frustrating

any sugestion??
144tech thanks a lot for your help

You didn't have to add the # , if it were so i would have told you.

You can go to Cmdline.txt and add this on the end (in the same fashion as all other rules are written)

dwc_otg.speed=1

Let us know how it turned out. (* Note, not all usb sticks will work, same for wifi, and keyboard) if you go to helder's aio 2.2 support thread (search) you can get far regarding this issue, idk if you use such a board but since you use another hub i would say no, but go take a look there, you can also download a config.txt there, and a cmdline.txt wich are already modified.

well... thanks for the time invested in helping me out...
it didnt turn out well...
Ive tried to editing my config and my cmdline as you told me and it did not work...
Ive also downloaded the config and cmdline from Helders guide and paste them in my boot... also did not work...

I guess I will have to buy an USB hub from the ones listed on the wiki... i just wanted to make it work with the one I had at home

by the way do not buy this hub...

Hmm.. my bet is, try to find a very old literally very old hub, i have good experience with these, they always seem to work especially the old ones. it might be a bit slower transferring roms and stuff but that would be the only thing, wich doesn't matter imo.

If you found some hub(s) test them , and it would be nice if you report here in this topic how it turned out or if they work well, so others can read it too, many times when people fixed the issue they dissapear, nor leave a answer in these topics, i hope you won't be someone like that.

Good luck and i hope you fix it soon!

I would strip it back, get a new USB hub and start again.

Not sure what you mean by the extra blue wire? All wires should have a purpose so maybe start fresh and rewire?

I haven't as yet built a GBZ with a USB hub but im in the middle of one noe. From what I've read the hubs can be sensitive and prone to failure so it might be partly dead.

144tech: I dont have any old hub but I bought this one in ebay for a cuple of bucks,

http://www.ebay.at/itm/151283344429?_tr ... .S1.R3.TR3

I hope it works... is the only cheap one that I could find in the internet for which i do not have to wait more than two weeks...and its listed on the wiki, and by the way Of course I will let you know how it went after all your help!!

Lphillimore:

I actually dont have a clue what that blue wire on the input does... really no clue... the hubs seemed to get power though... when I put a stick it does turn the light on... the 3rd port works good (i can plug a wireless keyboard) but the fourth doesnt even take that...

I also bought this in amazon...
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01F5I ... UTF8&psc=1
hope it works good...

I will let you know as well.

Thanks you guys for all the support

Hallo guys,

I wanted to thanks ones again for all your support. The problem is fixed!! the USB hub and the wifi dongle came today... I still did not wire it up but its already working :D

I just pluged the usb hub on the usb port that was taking the usb stick and voila all ports seem to work great :D i will wire it later. Now I am having fun with the wifi :D

BY THE WAY: the only thing it didnt seemed to work was the keyboard when changing the usb speed to 1... so what I did is to leave it like that (with the config and the cmdline as you told me) and use a wireless keyboard. I still can not plug in my normal keyboard but my wireless keyboard works fine and internet does as well (i just put the bios of the gba trough wifi)

Only problem now is that the wifi dongle switches off affter 15 mins or so... dont know why... doesnt bother me so much but if you have some info please share

thanks again and hope this post can help other people as well
