I do get power now the screen doesn't light but if I flash my flashlight to it I can see a text that says "no sigal". I ended up trying it with the white and then with the yellow as I disconnected each of them. I'm sooo close I can feel it. Thanks again for the support. Do you have any suggestions

Very random question:
How are these tips called for the wires (black pointy things that you can stick in board for testing)? Google searches haven't been successful here. Also, is it something you can manually attach to these? It would be so handy!
Thanks.

Re: A new screen, any tips on 5v conversion?
Gosh I'm so stumped on this I tired everything all I get is a very dim screen that says "no single" tried it on my 0 and my pi3 both say the same when I put it back to stock except the video wire (plugged onto pie same thing). Then after reconnected like it was back to factory to my n64 works perfect
Any suggestions on any other screens that work straight out of the box ?

Post some photos of what it looks like now. I have a little trouble following you, but I think if you post pictures I can figure it out. I don't really know much about wiring or screens myself but I'll look.Brandonmel wrote:Any idea ?
The screens themselves are pretty shoddy, so maybe something just happened to it when you were handling it. I never actually finished my project, and as of right now my screen is very fuzzy and really bad looking in one section, which I can't seem to fix. It happened after gluing so many times and re positioning etc. You have to be super careful with them.

Any update on this screen? I just received this one for my first gbz project. I haven't modified anything yet as I'm still waiting on other parts. Just looking for as much information as possible.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: A new screen, any tips on 5v conversion?
So after doing some research about what somebody posted on the forum. Rather than putting on the 5v regulator they have found that this pin in my picture is the 3.35v but for me I still haven't had any success. Again all I see is a screen with no back light and with a text that reads "no singal" I have proceeded with purchasing the gear best screen for I don't want to have to deal with a luck of the draw screen I will continue to keep up with this for him for I would like to use this for my second project
