raspberry Pi zero as a HDMI port for a Gamecube
Is it possible to use a Raspberry Pi zero as a HDMI port for a Gamecube? The console's digital A/V out port seems to have all the connections needed, plus as far as I know, the Gamecube works with a 5v system. I'm a nubby on this and would like some suggestions. Thanks.

The pi doesn't have video input, only output, so you would be struggling really!
Get a small cheep LCD in your project https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2312
Wrap it all round a battery https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2292
Or use a custom PCB to make it really small https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2512
or make it really really really really tiny!! https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2919

I heard that the HDMI port will improve greatly the image as compared to the regular A/V output. Just a thought. Thank you so much for your replies. They will clarify my understanding of how these things work. Thanks again.

The competitive super smash brothers melee community have a lot of people dedicated to getting the highest possible A/V quality out of their gamecubes, if that is what you're looking for. It mostly hinges on having extremely specific high quality CRTs and hookups but i'm not an expert on that. PM me if you want contacts.rg247junocom wrote:I heard that the HDMI port will improve greatly the image as compared to the regular A/V output. Just a thought. Thank you so much for your replies.
