Cartridge Reader - Doesn't Read SD Card

Hi All,

I have been working on my Gameboy Zero and have been following Helder's guides but I have run into a problem with getting the cartridge reader to work. I have it all wired up but it does not read the SD card, I continually get an error (see below image). I have checked all the connections and checked for continuity and all looks good. I am wondering if I have used a wrong pad on the back of the PI as I have the PI v1.3 with the camera and the pads are different then in Helders tutorial. The SD card works if I have it slotted in the PI itself AND disconnect the cartridge form the reader. If the cartridge is in the reader with no SD card in it (the SD card is the PI slot) it errors out as well. You can see pictures below of the setup. Any advice would be appreciated!

Have you tried a fresh install of retropie?
Ive had similar getting error messages thinking my wiring was at fault then happened to try a fresh install and it worked!

Agree with the above. If it were a wiring issue, it just wouldn't come on. That looks far more like a corrupt installation. A re-install should sort it.
