[solved] Can't get 8bit do controller to connect via bluetooth

Anyone else having trouble connecting the SFC30 to RPI3 Model B running mintyPi v4?
Connected instantly on my PC, can't connect on RPi3 B with the controller turned on, in pairing mode, plugged in the Pi with or without manufacturer microUSB in controller.
Any help would be awesome.

i dont know why your running the mintyPi img on the Raspberry Pi3....
(mintyPi img is setup to work with a SPI screen and GPIO controls, plus some features like bluetooth may have been turned off)

download and install a fresh img of Retropie (ideally from the Retropie download page and for a RPi3)

and just connect the controller via the Retropie Menu
