Hey, yes exactly.
If you have the old board without enough contact between the PCB and Silicon pads, you can use the tactile switchs
For the new board, I don't have one so maybe the contact is better and you don't need this modification anymore.
Gaboze Pocaio, no silicon pads [Update]
Re: Gaboze Pocaio, no silicon pads [Update]
While I'm waiting for the switches to arrive I've tested your solution and it actually works pretty good if you fix and align correctly the tin foil the pad. Obviously the OP's solution is the most effective, but it also requires much more work than gluing little bits of tin foil to the pads.spacemishka wrote: ↑Sun Aug 26, 2018 11:30 pmAfter testing it for a while on the weekend. I wouldnt recommend my "solution". I played few hours and the kitchen foil got loose. I glued it, but it didt work well....
So i hope my softbuttons will arrive soon

I went a bit overboard in replicating that idea and soldered soft buttons also on the d-pad obviously, the controls are very responsive, but I haven't tried to fit that board into a shell yet so it stands to be proven whether this was a good idea at all
