Re: Razor's GBZ progress

I'm building a similar battery pack, and looking around i've found this little cheap charger: https://www.amazon.co.uk/HiLetgo-Rechargeable-Lithium-Charging-Protection/dp/B00LTQU2RK/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1464649119&sr=8-1-fkmr1&keywords=One+Protection+Circuit+Module+PCM+for+3.6V+3.7V+Li-Po+L...

Re: hencethus' GBZ work in progress

@razor had wanted to see how the HHL clear glass looks Here it is http://i.imgur.com/kqQHaNhm.jpg?1 I haven't glued it in yet but I'm planning to use Household Goop per the advice from This to That since the #1 choice Loctite Impruv is pretty expensive. Oh, and the buttons are from kitsch-bent. @he...

Oof. At $30, not sure I'd even want to expose that port.

Re: Razor's GBZ progress

Where are you planning to put the PowerBoost? In Wermy's build it's stuck off to the side where the battery bay plastic was removed. I haven't quite figured out all of the positioning yet but it looks like the rapsberry pi just about fits where wermy's fits to expose the hdmi port where the contras...

It looks like it's about 4mm in width and 2mm center pin to center pin. See here: Image

Re: Razor's GBZ progress

Thank you! I already bought the wrong one 2 times, so do you know if this is the same? That looks to be the same according to the photo but the spec sheet for the part I bought is here: http://www.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Prototyping/ePH.pdf and it seems to indicate that the dimensions are 2mm in wi...

do you connect the battery pack directly to the adafruit power boost charger 1000?
If so, where did you get the connector that fits the PowerBoost??
Yep. I connect it directly to the powerboost. I got that cable from spark fun.

Re: Razor's GBZ progress

I got the batteries from Battery junction. They were about ~$3 a piece. http://www.batteryjunction.com/li14reaasi38.html If you do end up getting those, get them with the tabs pre-added. Will make it easier to solder together. The 14500 batteries is a really cool idea! If I got the protected ones c...
