Yeah, it's impossible to print something clear because the more layers you stack the more cloudy it's going to get. What if you make it out of clear resin? :) 3D-print a faceplate, use it to make a mold, pour resin in the mold, and voila, clear faceplate... :D If it's possible, of course... :| I do...
