Re: Need help with a project idea

Is that an Xbox controller? Pretty neat

.

You can also just wire up an hdmi cable. it’s like 13 wires so it’s a bit of a pain, but definitely easier to work into tight spaces.

Re: I made a BMO !!! :D

Smashing job! Would love to have that BMO theme! Maybe make my own ;) i should have this one posted online within a few weeks, once it's in a pretty good "done" state. i was out of town, so i didn't have a chance to work on it this past weekend at all, and i only spent a few minutes on the version ...

Re: Mushy buttons and input lag

I'll update with hardware specifics in a bit. I grabbed a new set of pads from retro modding. They definitely have improved things. I think the buttons themselves are a factor. I'm skeptical of the design of the back of the dpad for instance, it's hitting the raised part of the pad at an angle beca...

Re: GBZ screen won't power from battery with powerboost

try removing the chip that you wired the power to, and just run the power to that pin, on the board.

I made a BMO !!! :D

Pretty excited about this GBZ :) :) :) ... I got my dual extrusion working (finally) and designed and printed the stand, to look like BMO / B.M.O / Beemo from Adventure Time, and started to throw together a BMO theme to go along with it. Lots of other little touches I'm adding in like a hand-drawn l...

Re: The GigaBox, Take 1 (My first GBZ)

As for the SPI screens, I still recommend those for a Zero W build. They're crisp and low power. With fbcp-ili9341 they're really smooth, but it does cut down on the performance you get with GBA and SNES, which are definitely demanding on that processor. You can try a bit of overclocking, but I usu...

Re: First GBZ Build

The cable seems to be in pretty tight. I used a few pieces of kapton tape. Its a tight fit, but I will check again and make sure its enough yeah, like i mentioned, it can be tricky. when i have gotten it working, i used 2 layers of masking tape, and went nearly the the end of the strip where the ri...

Re: Mounting the (non-Adafruit) screen upside down?

I got one of the non-Adafruit screens we've talked about and noticed, when I have it centered in the case, that the bottom bezel comes down into where the controller board and X-Y buttons are. I feel like they won't be able to coexist like this, so I got the idea of mounting the screen upside down ...

Re: First GBZ Build

I haven't mangaged to get the screen to work on the pocket adventures build. Even after following this tutorial: https://sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2312 Any ideas? the screen can be tricky. it's probably the flat screen cable not making good connection in the on-board connector. if you ...

Re: Teensy gamepad code

My button pcb is the same layout but I wired it to the teensy as gnd, up, down, left, right, start, select, a, b, x, y. Will this code work for that. just link the pin (number) with the button in the script: Bounce GBZ_X = Bounce(6, 10); that links "X" button with pin 6 (with a 10 milisecond bounce...
