Re: Wii U Gamepad zero/gamepi project thread
My TM062RDH03 came in today! :D I'm going to get a Wii U Gamepad Touchscreen Digitizer (and just cut the cable off of it) so the screen is both protected and has a bezel around it! I just measured my roommate's gamepad, the bezel will fit perfectly on this display and not leave any silver showing i...

Re: Wii U Gamepad zero/gamepi project thread
Do you have a controller board for the LCD? No, kite said he's going to make a board for that display so I'll just wait on that. Oh cool. I took the pictures of my board for him but didn't know he was going to make it that quick. One that is smaller and runs off of 5v? That would be amazing!!!

Re: Wii U Gamepad zero/gamepi project thread
I will have to take a look about that ground and get back to you. As for the soldering... yeah, you need such a little amount of solder. maybe do every other connection and use such a slight amount. just touch it. With the bridges, you can use the chisel or wedge tip and swipe down the connections t...

Re: Wii U Gamepad zero/gamepi project thread
Buy extras. LOL get a thin solder, like .015 or .020. My first try I put solder on a flat tip and wiped it across the contacts... disaster. The second one I did each one with a quick touch of the solder and it came out decent. third one I got the hang of it and it came out nice. Slow and steady is ...

Re: Wii U Gamepad zero/gamepi project thread
I do not have extra adafruit boards, just the tiny connectors that get soldered onto them. I just watched some surface mount solder videos and they make it look so easy! And they do these .5mm pitch boards by eye! I needed to use my magnifier just to get them lined up! I will give it a try by this ...

Re: Wii U Gamepad zero/gamepi project thread
I'm wondering if we should plan ahead and see if we could get some custom control boards made for each side that take in the ribbon cable through the FPC connector, use a charliplexing method, then output pins that go to GPIO. It would certainly make everything a lot simpler. Maybe @1461748123 coul...

Re: Wii U Gamepad zero/gamepi project thread
... So pictures are OK, as good as my phone seems to want to take, but if you need numbers or other pictures, let me know and I will break out the real camera (needs a charge, so cell pics is all I got for now). These are great, could you please confirm that the 10 resistors in the bottom right cor...

Re: Wii U Gamepad zero/gamepi project thread
Thanks for posting this Helder! It appears there's ample space for a full sized Pi3, a large battery and a cooling solution to boot. After you add the screen and control board, space goes away. I think a stripped down Pi 2/3 can fit though. I am looking at using a flat Li-On battery, see if that af...

Re: Wii U Gamepad zero/gamepi project thread
I would assume it should be fine. It is just ground. It looks like 2 or 3 of them are ground on that side.Racerboy wrote: So those connectors work great for both sides? I know the side with the D-Pad has a much larger ground pin than the other side, for some reason.
