i know that about the boards but the glitch gaming uses the i2s with the script i just type it in the gameboy itself with a keyboard

something simillar happen to me. could be the ribbon cables. they are finicky and sensible as helll they damaged super easy. once is damaged you need a new screen. try disconnecting and reconnecting ribbon cable. or putting preassure on it. see if anything is touching the backplate... does the logo ...
