I did test it before with 12v and 5v but no difference.

I bought the gearbest 3.5 inch screen. Modified it to work off of 5v. But im having problems with the brightness and also with contrast the brightness is very low and the lines are not very good. It's as if little pixels are sparkling. Any ideas how to change the brightness and contrast or fix this ...
