I know this is very dependant on what emulators you want on your setup Hence the above statment, I'm asking what's the average size for most zero builders ;) Decide yourself, look for the example sizes of roms: GB/GBC: 256-KB, 512-KB, 1-MB, 2-MB, 4-MB, 8-MB GBA: 4-MB, 8-MB, 16-MB, 32-MB NDS: 8-MB, ...

Hi, it's depending on which emulators (number of games for this) you want to store on your sd-card. More space = more games to store.
