Re: Screen

For a base-level SPI display that fits in a relatively small footprint: http://www.pocketadventures.com/product_ili9341.asp
And don't forget the adapter: http://www.pocketadventures.com/product_spi10.asp

Wire Preference

So I got to wondering at random: What are your go-to wire choices when building a GBZ? What brand/gauge/etc do you default to when wiring everything up?

I've taken to using 24awg for the power supply connection and 30 for GPIO common ground stuff.

Re: [SALE] MegaBat 4.5 (a 4500-4700 mAh battery for the GBZ) USA,Canada & Mexico Only!

Thread is still very much alive... Like my MegaBat! I'm running a GBZ with RetroPSU, a Pi 3A+, PAM8403, big ol' VECO speaker, and an LQ035NC111 (composite), and I have finally taken the time to test the battery in a fully charged rundown. Wifi - Disabled Joystick - Disabled (simple build. I'm saving...

Re: The GigaBox, Take 1 (My first GBZ)

I may have indeed gone overboard with the solder reflow. I happen to have another, unmodified PA button board available so I'll try that once I get hope and clean off all the epoxy from my last attempt.

Re: The GigaBox, Take 1 (My first GBZ)

Pure freakin' rage. I took a different approach with my Game Boy Not-Zero. Got a white shell and black buttons, drilled only X and Y holes in the front (moved L and R to the rear), and decided not to use an analog stick at all in this build Everything was working 200% fine, but the X and Y buttons w...

Re: Mushy buttons and input lag

Can vouch for Refusor's solution. Applying a careful amount of solder to the contacts (make sure not to bridge any connections or you're basically holding that button forever), input didn't require nearly as much brute force.

Re: OneForAll (Helder) Input Woes

Weird story time: - Since both versions run the same folder name, I renamed the original OneForAll 'OneForAll2', commented out the run command in rc.local, and added my own line to run the new script. It worked almost identically to the first... right down to it not responding in RetroArch. GPIO set...

Re: How to connect via ssh over wifi to your Pi from desktop computer without attached screen, or keyboard, or even butt

Also of note, the Zero/W only connects to 2.4ghz wireless networks, so if you're entering 5ghz info into wpa_supplicant.conf and it doesn't work/you get interface issues when trying to change wifi settings in raspi-config, that's one likely reason.
