Just soldered up the connection on mine, second confirmation that it works! and much less flickering/noise too.

I have the same board, which pin do you think is the right one? I can find the regulator that wermy soldered to in his video as it has the exact same text printed on it but I'm not quite sure which pin needs to be soldered to on that regulator. EDIT: nvm I didn't see that you marked the pin, I think...
