Re: Please show me your L/R buttons
I originally had the idea of cutting two sections of the ribbed part of the back shell out and mounting them as L and R buttons. They were to be flush with the shell so that they were barely noticeable, but I've since scrapped that idea as I can't work out how to make a cut thin enough that they don...

Re: USB Audio Wiring Diagram
Has anybody managed to overcome the Speaker out/HDMI out switching problem? Not at the audio stage of my build yet, but no audio over HDMI is an absolute deal breaker for me, so will need to plan whether to use the Sabrent DAC that I bought or revert back to PWM audio?

Re: roms and all in one board programming
If you're going for the pure DMG aesthetic, why not hide the USB port in the battery compartment?

Re: roms and all in one board programming
Even if you're not looking to have an internal hub set up to add additional permanent hardware, I'd still encourage you to wire up the Pi Zero's USB pads to an external port. That way you have a few options available: USB: You can insert a USB flash drive, and Retropie will format it and add folders...

Re: I made a drill guide for X/Y buttons
Oh that's clever! Really nice idea @stefanli! One suggestion though - put raised rings around the drill holes for X and Y, that way the user could go over these with marker pen, flip it over and press down, and would then have the diameter of the button wells marked out on the shell as well as the p...

Re: [Guide] How the 3.5mm Audio Jack works
Oh, I beg to differ Sir! As someone with a wife and kids, I can see myself benefiting immensely from a decent set of headphones!Fleder wrote:It makes no sense to wire Stereo if you only have a single speaker.

Wow, coming along very nicely! I really like the colour highlights on each one. Your homebrew light pipes are a very cool addition.
Looking forward to seeing these finished!

Re: The craziness of Ebay pricing...
I paid £18 for mine on Ebay with a faulty screen and discoloured shell. Thought I grabbed a bargain at the time, now thinking I was ripped off!

Re: [Guide] Microcontroller Boards
Initially tried with 1.6.5, during board selection in the Arduino IDE it begins to install the drivers, and one driver fails. No joy there, so uninstalled everything and tried 1.6.7, for which the instructions online suggest to install the drivers manually from a separate download package, but again...

Re: [Guide] Microcontroller Boards
@Fleder I do apologise for my little outburst, think I was a little too tired at the time! I hope you have more luck with it than I did. I'll probably hold onto my Digispark for future projects, and use a Pro Micro for my current build. Hopefully they'll fix it the driver issue soon as I'm 99%...
